Joan Jett And The Blackhearts Announce First UK Headline Tour In 16 Years

The Godmother of Punk, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts have announced their first headline UK tour in 16 years.

The tour opens with a previously announced concert at Glasgow O2 Academy on Thursday 2nd July, before hitting Manchester, Leeds, Wolverhampton and London for its grand finale at the British Airways ARC.

Joan Jett says: “We can’t wait to be back on stage in the UK this Summer! I wrote and recorded ‘Bad Reputation’, my first solo LP in London. It’s been too long since we’ve been in the UK and we’re excited to see everyone!”

Featuring UK Britpunk duo The Meffs as support at all dates, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts will perform legendary hits including ‘I Love Rock N’ Roll’, ‘Bad Reputation’, ‘I Hate Myself For Loving You’ and many more at the shows.

The headline shows replace Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ previously announced special guest slots on Sammy Hagar’s Best of All Worlds UK Tour, which will now take place at more intimate venues.

Jett has also been announced as an opening act for My Chemical Romance’s show at Wembley Stadium on July 10.
