Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris will return to the stage with his side project British Lion for six consecutive nights at London’s legendary Cart & Horses in December 2026.
The special Christmas residency will take place from 13–18 December at the intimate Stratford venue, famous for its close association with Iron Maiden’s earliest performances. British Lion previously completed a five-night residency at the same venue in 2025, following an extensive UK headline tour, and will now return for an additional night as part of their annual Christmas celebrations.
Led by Harris, the band also features vocalist Richard Taylor, guitarists David Hawkins and Grahame Leslie, and drummer Simon Dawson. Unlike Iron Maiden’s elaborate arena and stadium productions, British Lion offer Harris an opportunity to perform in smaller venues, delivering a more traditional hard rock sound built around powerful guitar riffs and melodic songwriting.
The band’s catalogue includes their self-titled debut album from 2012 and 2020’s ‘The Burning’, both showcasing a different side of Harris’s musical career. Joining British Lion throughout the residency will be Albion, featuring current Jethro Tull guitarist Jack Clark and former member Joe Parrish-James.
The concerts promise a particularly intimate experience for fans, with the historic venue providing a direct connection to Iron Maiden’s early years.
Tickets go on sale at 6.30pm on Wednesday 14 October 2026.
