John Bush Announces 2027 UK Tour Dates Celebrating His Anthrax Years

Former Anthrax frontman John Bush has announced three UK headline shows for August 2027, celebrating the music he recorded with the legendary American thrash metal band between 1993 and 2003.

The ‘European Stomp Tour 27’ will see Bush revisit material from the four studio albums he recorded during his time with Anthrax, bringing the special performances to the UK for the first time.

Following appearances at European festivals, Bush will perform at London’s Electric Ballroom on 14 August, Manchester Academy 2 on 15 August and Wolverhampton’s KK’s Steel Mill on 16 August.

Bush joined Anthrax in 1992, replacing Joey Belladonna ahead of the band’s landmark 1993 album ‘Sound of White Noise’. His distinctive vocal style helped introduce a new musical direction for the New York metal veterans, combining their established thrash influences with a heavier, more groove-orientated sound.

The forthcoming shows will feature material from ‘Sound of White Noise’, ‘Stomp 442’, ‘Volume 8: The Threat Is Real’ and ‘We’ve Come for You All’, including familiar favourites and rarely performed album tracks.

The performances also reunite Bush with members of his current metal supergroup Category 7, featuring guitarists Phil Demmel and Mike Orlando alongside drummer Jason Bittner. Bass duties will be handled by his longtime Armored Saint bandmate Joey Vera. Category 7 previously opened Bush’s American Anthrax anniversary shows with their own set before returning to the stage as his backing band, giving audiences two performances featuring the same musicians.

Bush will also visit the UK earlier in 2027 with Armored Saint, supporting Saxon on their ‘Gods of Thunder’ tour.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 30 October 2026.
