Pixies have announced a 40th anniversary UK and European tour for 2026. The UK trek includes two shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall, and an appearance at The Eden Project in Cornwall.
Due to hit the road next year for a global run of live dates, Pixies’ return to these shores will see them play two headline concerts at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London on Thursday May 28 and Friday May 29. These will mark their first performances at the venue. The alt-rock giants will also play at the Eden Project in Cornwall on Friday June 26.
Formed in Boston in 1986, Pixies’ worldwide headline tour in 2026 will celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary. It kicks off in the UK where the band was first embraced before taking on the world and ushering in the alt-rock era of the late 80s and early 90s. Pixies’ unmistakable vocals and instantly recognisable sound have influenced some of the greatest, including Nirvana, Weezer and Radiohead.
Pixies are known for tracks such as ‘Here Comes Your Man’ and ‘Monkey Gone To Heaven’ – a top 10 Billboard Modern Rock Track – from the 1989 Platinum-certified ‘Doolittle’, while the ebb and flow of iconic ‘Where Is My Mind’ from 1988’s ‘Surfer Rosa’ album has had over a billion streams on Spotify.
Pixies released their ninth and latest studio album, ‘The Night The Zombies Came’, last October.
