German guitar legend Michael Schenker has lined up a six-date UK tour for May 2025 celebrating his years with UFO.
Schenker will be touring in support of his ‘My Years With UFO’ album, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of his years with UFO.
The ‘My Years With UFO’ tour opens at Wolverhampton KK’s Steel Mill on Thursday 8th May, and visits Belfast, Manchester, Glasgow and London before concluding at Bristol O2 Academy on Thursday 15th May.
These headline shows precede Michael Schenker’s previously announce headline set at Maid of Stone Festival on Sunday 20th July.
Michael Schenker will be joined by former H.E.A.T. and Skid Row frontman Erik Grönwall, who is featured on ‘Mother Mary’ on the ‘My Years With UFO’ album, which also includes a guest appearance by Guns n’ Roses’ Slash on guitar.
Although Michael Schenker’s era with UFO spanned only six years, his influence as a young songwriter and exceptional guitarist had already left a lasting mark on rock. During these meteoric years, the UFO albums ‘Phenomenon’, ‘Force It’, ‘No Heavy Petting’, ‘Lights Out’, ‘Obsession’ and the seminal live album ‘Strangers In The Night’ were recorded, each contributing significantly to the genre.
