Therapy? have announced a huge UK tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their acclaimed 1994 album ‘Troublegum’.
Released exactly 30 years ago today (7th February), ‘Troublegum’ was a Number 5 chart hit in the UK and it was nominated for the 1994 Mercury Music Prize. It featured the huge No.6 single ‘Nowhere’ and also spawned the Top 20 hits ‘Trigger Inside’ and ‘Die Laughing.’
The Northern Ireland rockers will be performing their legendary 1994 LP in full at seven headline dates this winter, as well as “a host of other musical treats from around the same era of their recording career” in the setlist.
“To mark the 30th anniversary of Troublegum we’ll be heading out on tour this year to celebrate with a set, but not just a perfunctory play-through, this will be based on Therapy? of 1994 and featuring songs from that era,” explains frontman Andy Cairns.
“When we started out in County Antrim in 1989 we could never have foreseen this beast of punk metal noise being such a landmark record. Come along and celebrate with us as we play banger after banger!”
