Phoenix based thrash metal icons Sacred Reich have announced a run of November and December UK tour dates in support of their first album release in 23 years years, ‘Awakening’.
Thrash veterans Sacred Reich have announced UK tour dates as part of a European tour which will take place next winter.
Sacred Reich have organised the shows in support of their upcoming record ‘Awakening’ – which is expected to be released this summer. It’ll be the band’s first studio album since 1996’s ‘Heal’ and will feature former Machine Head drummer Dave McClain, who returned to the Sacred Reich lineup in December. He previously played with the band between 1991 and 1995, and on the ‘A Question’ EP (1991) and the ‘Independent’ (1993) and ‘Heal’ (1996) albums before leaving to join Machine Head, who he left in November after completing the ‘Freaks & Zeroes Tour’.
Frontman, Phil Rind says: “Recording is in full swing with producer Arthur Rizk at The Platinum Underground in Arizona. We are so excited to be back in the studio after 23 years and Dave is currently killing it on the drums. It sounds sick! Our new record, Awakening, is due this summer. Stay tuned!”
Sacred Reich guitarist and founding member Jason Rainey recently exited the band for “health reasons” and was replaced by Joey Radziwill.
